Park of Pollino

Multipurpose Center, Campotenese

The Pollino National Park Authority will realize a multipurpose center in Morano Calabro, in the village of Campotenese, between Calabria and Basilicata, housing Park offices areas dedicated to education and exhibition. MCA has designed an external volume in a triangular geometrical form inspired by stacks of wood, while the interior is characterized by curved forms that reflect the profiles of the mountains of the Pollino. The building will use active and passive energy strategies and will be made of wood produced from logging in the Park.
