Paris Parc

Design of the building Paris Parc for Université Pierre et Marie Curie

MCA has been chosen to participate in a competition launched by the University Pierre and Marie Curie for the construction of a new center of labor and trade with a business incubator of 15,000 m2 on its Jussieu campus in the heart of Paris. The building appears as a set of vertical quartz gems, expressing and revealing its meaning through the light that renders it almost immaterial. The roof, a fifth facade of the building, plays the role of bioclimatic moderator, composed of flues that work as a filter between the interior and exterior environments. A portion of the roof garden is also covered by a series of glazed chimneys, closed during winter to become numerous small greenhouses.
