New headquarters and research center for the pharmaceutical company Chiesi

The pharmaceutical company Chiesi spa has launched a competition to design the new headquarters and research center. The MCA project, winner of the competition, is strongly influenced by the surrounding landscape of the Po Valley. The building is sited within a new poplar forest and building volumes appear as crystals that seem to emerge from a compact mass of green. Trees are planted both to protect the building from the noise and pollution and to create a landscape that will form an intrinsic part of the architecture, helping to control the environmental quality of the site.
