Tianjin

Italian Style Zone project for an exhibition complex and cinema multiplex

The project represents an important element in the completion of the broader redevelopment of the architectural '"Italian style zones" of Tianjin. The shape of the building is strongly inspired by the design of the historic Italian city, where the density of the buildings leaves room for the typical sequence of streets, alleys, squares and public spaces. The density of urban areas is, in fact, one of the most valuable assets of Italian historic centers. The relationship between distance and height of buildings, complex paths -  never linear – and the irregularity of the external spaces, the richness of materials, the play of void and solid help to create a "tension" and a new "atmosphere".
