“Italy A Place To Go” event is created to spread knowledge that goes beyond the typical Italian charms and attractions. This initiative will show us all how Italy is both a place of beauty and a sustainable opportunity for the future.

Italy has always been recognized as being a worldwide trendsetter and leader in design. It is a unique nation in that it boasts a highly diverse and extensive range of architectural designs throughout its history. Ancient Rome and the Italian Renaissance gave Italy a rich architectural heritage that influenced building design around the world. Every part of Italy brims with architectural wonders.

In celebration of Italian Design Day on July 8th, lecture “Architecture & Design”, will highlight how present-day Italian architects are at the forefront of modernist and sustainable design.

Speakers of this lecture:

  • Maria Grazie Mattei – Founder and President of MEET, Digital Culture Center
  • Mario Cucinella – Hon FAIA, Int. Fellow RIBA; Founder and Creative Director of MC A – Mario Cucinella Architects

The event is organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario Canada (ICCO Canada) and supported by the Embassy of Italy to Canada, Consulate General of Italy in Toronto, Italian Trade Agency, Istituto Italiano di Cultura, and Italian National Tourist Board.

Several brilliant Italian speakers with diverse cultural and economic backgrounds will deliver lectures beginning on July 5th and ending on July 15th. More info
