Stone Craftsmen

Casone Group
Mining, cutting, processing, design: Casone brings the stone from its own quarries, as well as others, around the world, and transforms it, with wisdom and care, into architecture and design. The company, based in Firenzuola, an extraction zone located in the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, manages its stone deposits in the districts of Verona and Carrara. Internationally known for Pietra Forte Fiorentina, Casone also works in marble, onyx, and travertine. Casone combines the firm experience of manual work with the most advanced technologies. It entrusts the final touches to the expert hands of its craftsmen before the final installation.

Zoon table (Bowls)

The Zoon bowls are inspired by the shapes of the underground floor of the Nuovo Museo dell’Arte, Fondazione Luigi Rovati – Milan, Italy. The circularity and overlapping of the features characterizing the underground floor of the museum are re-proposed in the sinuous lines that characterize these bowls. Moreover, the material with which they were made, namely pietra serena, is a further reference to architecture, as it is the same material with which the underground space of the museum was wrapped.
