3D Visual Artist based in Bologna

MCA is looking for an Architect with at least 5 years of experience to join our Visual Unit.

Education

  • Master’s degree in 3D Visualization.
  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Design.
  • At least 1 year of professional experience in architectural visualization, gained through medium to high complexity projects.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; knowledge of additional languages is considered a plus.
  • Possession of a VAT number.

Skills

  • Ability to support teams by understanding project requirements and creating visualizations that effectively communicate and enhance architectural concepts.
  • Strong collaboration skills, including the ability to work closely with architects and attend meetings to discuss ongoing projects (good communication and teamwork skills).
  • Excellent organizational skills and workflow management to meet deadlines, with the ability to adapt to the team’s working methods.
  • Ability to collaborate within a team as well as manage all phases of image production independently.
  • Experience in 3D modeling, with in-depth knowledge of texturing/mapping, lighting, and post-production.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry-standard software, including: Modeling: Rhino (basic), 3ds Max – Rendering: Corona Renderer – Plugins: ForestPack, RailClone – Post-production: Photoshop – Video (preferred): 3ds Max, Unreal Engine, After Effect – AI software (preferred).
  • Excellent creativity and artistic sensitivity.
  • Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in creative software and hardware.

Studio

The studio based in Bologna and Milan, is composed of an international team of more than one hundred architects, engineers, graphic designers, model makers and researchers. Founded in 1992 in Paris and then in 1999 in Bologna, the studio has a solid experience in design architecture that integrates environmental and energy strategies making use of an internal R&D department which carries out research on sustainability issues following a holistic approach.

All projects are united by a common focus on technological integration with environmental and climate strategies to create buildings that can reduce their environmental impact in view of the UN 2030 and European 2050 objectives. Therefore, the practice of the office aims to contribute to climate change mitigation and at the same time to a positive social evolution through increased public participation and sharing in urban transformation processes.
