BIM Coordinator

MCA is looking for an BIM coordinator with at least 5 years of experience to join our team in our Bologna office.

Education

  • Master's degree in Architecture or Engineering. 
  • Profession licensing and VAT number for a freelance contract. 
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of architectural design on international projects developed with BIM methodology in the Revit environment. 
  • Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English; knowledge of other languages will be considered a plus. 

Skills

  • Predisponision and sensitivity in developing architectural design with the team.
  • BIM coordination of an architectural design team and multidisciplinary collaboration (Structures, MEP, Facades, Utilities, etc.).
  • Advanced use of parametric modeling, automation and scripting tools with data management (Grasshopper, Dynamo) and BIM interoperability processes with Revit.
  • Management of the information flow in accordance with D.Lgs. 36/2023, UNI 11337 and ISO 19650, with support in drafting the project’s BIM documentation.
  • Management of digital workflows and communications through the CDE.
  • Validation of BIM models for geometric clashes and information consistency using Navisworks and Solibri.
  • Management of IFC schemas: property set mapping, export and validation.
  • Coordination of Revit production of plans, architectural layouts, details and schedules for complex projects across all design stages.
  • Aptitude for experimentation and the introduction of new tools and methods.
  • Independent management of tasks, with attention to meeting deadlines and budget. 

Studio

The studio based in Bologna and Milan, is composed of an international team of more than one hundred architects, engineers, graphic designers, model makers and researchers. Founded in 1992 in Paris and then in 1999 in Bologna, the studio has a solid experience in design architecture that integrates environmental and energy strategies making use of an internal R&D department which carries out research on sustainability issues following a holistic approach.

All projects are united by a common focus on technological integration with environmental and climate strategies to create buildings that can reduce their environmental impact in view of the UN 2030 and European 2050 objectives. Therefore, the practice of the office aims to contribute to climate change mitigation and at the same time to a positive social evolution through increased public participation and sharing in urban transformation processes.
