To celebrate Studio Belvedere’s 50th anniversary, we designed an exhibition space inside the ADI Museum that was at once a narrative, a piece of architecture, and a sustainable gesture. A narrative constructed through matter, light, and the relationship between content and form, giving life to an installation capable of embracing the studio’s history and projecting it into the future.

Per celebrare i cinquant’anni dello Studio Belvedere, abbiamo progettato uno spazio espositivo all’interno dell’ADI Museum che fosse al tempo stesso racconto, architettura e gesto sostenibile. Una narrazione che si costruisce attraverso la materia, la luce e la relazione tra contenuto e forma, dando vita a un allestimento capace di accogliere la storia dello studio e di proiettarla nel futuro.

Al centro del progetto si sviluppa una lunga parete a soffietto in cartone plissettato, un elemento leggero e mutevole che definisce lo spazio senza irrigidirlo. La sua geometria continua e vibrante funziona come una vera infrastruttura narrativa: una linea che si srotola nello spazio e diventa supporto per la timeline e i progetti che hanno segnato il percorso dello studio. La scelta del cartone, un materiale riciclato, riciclabile e facilmente riutilizzabile, traduce in forma fisica i valori di attenzione al territorio e alla riduzione dell’impatto ambientale che da sempre guidano l’attività dello Studio Belvedere.

On this warm, neutral surface, display panels alternate photographs, drawings, maps, and texts, constructing an articulated urban section made up of memories, transformations, and future visions. Each module is inserted into the cardboard texture like a landscape, striking a balance between exhibition rigor and a material, almost tactile character.

Coerentemente con il tema della mostra, ogni elemento è stato pensato per una seconda vita: la struttura in cartone può essere riutilizzata, rimontata in nuove configurazioni o reintegrata in altri progetti; le sedute leggere e modulari sono pensate per essere ricollocate; gli apparati multimediali sono parte di un sistema espositivo flessibile e rigenerabile. Perché il valore di un progetto si misura anche nella sua capacità di trasformarsi e di continuare a generare significato nel tempo, senza consumare nuove risorse.
